Sunshine Coast Regional Council has allocated $3.6 million to the redevelopment of the Airport terminal and departure lounge. The redevelopment of the airport terminal is a component of Stage One of the Airport’s Master Plan which will ultimately deliver unprecedented economic benefits to the Sunshine Coast.

Newcastle Airport was named the 2005 Regional Airport of the Year by the Australian Airports Association, an award judged by airport peers in recognition of the Airport’s major terminal development.
The first scheduled airline services in Australia departed from Geraldton Airport to Derby in 1921. Handed to local government in 1991, the airport is now owned and operated by the City of Geraldton-Greenough, with capital infrastructure expansion of $11M on since 1999.
Serviced three times daily and carrying around 25,000 passengers per year, Taree Regional Airport is fast becoming a hub for aviation-related businesses, especially light aircraft manufacturing. The Council recently re-constructed the main runway and has commenced on an expansion of the business park.

Managed and operated by Albury City Council, Albury Airport’s passenger throughput has averaged an annual growth rate of 14% for the past successive seven years, making it the fourth busiest regional airport in NSW in terms of total revenue passengers.
